This Leed Project is the new Headquarters for Vermilion energy, located in Centennial place in the heart of Calgary and occupying 5 floors.
The project consisted of offices, meeting rooms and multi function areas. There were two main suppliers of veneer products, one was the demountable partition supplier and the other was Artek. The project included approximately 60,000 square feet of reconstituted pecan veneer with a stain finish. Artek supplied 30,000 square feet of the veneer. One of the challenges was to ensure that all the staining was controlled for color due to the relationship of the demountable walls and the paneling supplied by Artek. The millwork consisted of several copy and coffee stations per floor manufactured of high gloss plastic laminate and painted surrounds. The paint had to be custom manufactured to Artek’s specifications to match the gloss and color of the plastic laminate.
